What ink cartridges the HP 3520 uses and what you can expect

You can choose standard-capacity cartridges for occasional printing, or XL versions if you want more pages per cartridge and fewer replacements. Whether you print school materials, invoices, shipping labels, or family photos, well-matched ink for HP 3520 helps preserve sharp text, clear lines and natural colors.

Inks in this category support common use cases:

• Home and office documents – crisp black text and good readability
• Color graphics – presentations, charts, learning materials
• Photo printing – smoother tonal transitions thanks to a dedicated photo cartridge option
• Everyday reliability – stable performance with properly selected cartridges

Compatible vs Original OEM – how to choose the best option

When shopping for ink for printer HP DeskJet 3520 All-in-One, you’ll typically choose between two classes:

• Original OEM – produced by HP, designed to match the printer’s specification precisely and deliver predictable results in everyday printing and photos.
• Compatible – a cost-effective alternative. Our compatible cartridges at DrTusz.pl are designed to deliver print quality and reliability that are as good as the originals, while helping you reduce printing costs—especially when you choose XL capacity or multipacks.

If you print a lot, we usually recommend an HP 364 XL ink cartridge (black or CMYK multipack) to lower cost per page. If you print occasionally, standard HP 364 cartridges can be the simplest choice. And if you care about photos, consider adding the photo cartridge variant for better photo tones.

Helpful tips and common HP DeskJet 3520 printing issues

Dear Customer, if your HP 3520 shows messages like “cartridge problem,” prints with streaks, or colors look faded, it often comes down to one of a few common causes. Before replacing hardware, it’s worth checking the basics:

• Wrong cartridge variant – make sure you choose the correct HP 364 / HP 364 XL model and the right color.
• Low ink in a single color – even one depleted color cartridge can affect color prints.
• Printhead/nozzle clogging – if the printer sits unused for longer periods, run the cleaning utility and print a test page.
• Protective tape not removed – after installing a new cartridge, confirm all seals and protective elements are removed properly.
• Photo quality not as expected – consider the Foto (photo) cartridge and suitable photo paper for better results.
