Ink cartridges for Canon Pixma MG5700 - compatible and original OEM

Canon Pixma MG5700 (MG5000 Series) – a home all‑rounder that deserves reliable ink

If you use a Canon Pixma MG5700 (also searched as Canon MG5700 or Canon MG5000 Series), you probably appreciate it for exactly what it was made for: everyday printing at home, school materials, sharp text documents, and colorful photos. To keep that quality consistent, you need the right ink for Canon Pixma MG5700—and preferably in a version that matches your printing style and budget. In this category we offer both Original OEM and carefully selected compatible ink cartridges for the MG5700, so you can choose with confidence.

What ink cartridges does the Canon MG5700 use?

The Canon Pixma MG5700 works with the popular Canon cartridge set: PGI‑570 (pigment black for crisp text) and CLI‑571 (colors for graphics and photos). That combination is the reason the printer can deliver clean letters on plain paper and smooth gradients in images. When you pick ink for MG5700, you can decide between standard and XL versions—XL is ideal when you print often and want fewer cartridge changes.

Typical applications include:

• documents and homework (sharp black, less smudging with pigment ink)
• color presentations and charts (consistent CMYK colors)
• photo printing (better tonal transitions, especially with the gray cartridge option)
• daily home printing where cost per page matters

How to choose the right ink for Canon Pixma MG5700 (and avoid common issues)

To make sure the ink for printer Canon Pixma MG5700 works flawlessly, we recommend a quick checklist before ordering:

• Check the symbol: PGI‑570 is the pigment black; CLI‑571 are the color/photo cartridges.
• Decide on capacity: if you print regularly, choose XL to reduce replacements and lower the cost per page.
• Consider your printing type: text-heavy users benefit most from PGI‑570 XL black; photo and graphics users should stock up on CLI‑571 colors (and optionally gray).
• Multipack vs singles: multipacks are convenient and typically the best option if you don’t want to track levels color by color.

Canon MG5700 users sometimes report issues that are usually ink-related rather than printer-related—such as fading colors after long downtime, streaks, or “cartridge not recognized” messages. In most cases, the solution is simple: install the correct PGI/CLI cartridge type, ensure it clicks in firmly, run a nozzle check/cleaning from the printer utility, and avoid leaving the printer unused for very long periods.
